On the heels of December’s Tropical Storm Tembin in the Philippines, Mount Mayon, the most active volcano in the country, has been spewing lava and ash for weeks. Experts expect a major eruption within days, and more than 75,000 have fled their homes in the danger zone to stay in emergency shelters. The recent flooding has clogged the streets, and volcanology institutes are warning that a combination of flooding and lava may mean boulders and mudslides could bury communities.

We thank God for the continued safety of those in our child sponsorship program and our partner schools. For the thousands displaced by the volcano and in need of humanitarian assistance, World Hope is responding. We are working alongside our Wesleyan Church network on the ground to distribute emergency supplies to those who need it most.

Join World Hope to support victims of the volcano eruption in desperate need of emergency supplies.
